Ever since the announcement of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Pathan film, all eyes have been on them. Pathan is not just the name of a movie but it is a thrill for thousands of fans who are waiting with bated breath to see Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen. Well, when it comes to spreading the charm of Shah Rukh Khan among the audience, there is no need to try too hard. And we bet that ever since the first look and posters were released, you too must have gone crazy over his well-toned body and six-pack of him. Well, two songs from the movie have been released so far and both have gained immense popularity among the fans. However, Besharam Rang has caused many controversies. Despite all this, the Central Board of Cinematographic Certification granted the film a UA certificate after ten cuts made following the recommendations of the CBFC. Scroll down to see 10 cuts made by Pathan.

CBFC cuts Pathan

At least 3 changes have been made to the song Besharam Rang starring Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan. Removed close-ups of “buttocks, side poses, and sexy dance moves” during the song “Bahut Tang Kiya.”

The word ‘Crude’ was replaced with ‘Hamre’ and ‘Langde Lulle’ was replaced with ‘Toote Phute’.

Removed the word ‘PMO’ and replaced the word ‘PM’ with the word ‘President’ or a minister in 13 different places.

The word Shrimati Bharatmata was changed to Our Mother India and ‘Ashok Chakra’ was changed to Veer Award.

The term KGB was replaced by SBU.

In one dialogue, the word Scotch was changed to drink, and the reference to Russia was also removed.

Pathan earned U/A certificate

The CBFC has made 10 cuts in the film, after which Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham’s lead has been awarded a U/A certificate, reports Bollywood Hungama. As mentioned in the certificate, the length of the film is 146 minutes. In other words, Pathan is 2 hours and 26 minutes long. By the way, it is not clear whether or not she has been asked to remove her saffron bikini, which created a lot of uproar after the release of the song Besharam Rang.

The moment Pathan’s debut track Besharam Rang featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone was released, it took the internet by storm and wow! Some loved the peppy runway, but others found Deepika objectionable in the saffron and green bikini. Some activists organized a protest in Indore and burned effigies of Deepika and Shahrukh. Even Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra, while speaking to the media a few days after the release of Besadharmam Rang, openly opposed the wearing of a saffron-colored dress in the song. He said that there are some objectionable scenes in the film and if those scenes are not changed, Pathan will be banned in Madhya Pradesh.

Speaking about Deepika Padukone’s style on the song, stylist Shaleena Nathani said: “I too was looking forward to doing this song like you’ve never seen it before. I wanted the clothes to be very different from what you would see in this type of song. Even the bathing suits that she wears, the colors that we wear. I wanted to do something that will hopefully be relevant for a long time.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen opposite Nayanthara in director Atlee’s new film Jawan, and then he will collaborate for the first time with Taapsee Pannu in Danki with director Rajkumar Hirani. Both films will be released next year.

Deepika has an interesting line of movies in the works. She will be seen in Pathan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The film will be released on January 25, 2023. She also has Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, Project K with Prabhas, The Intern remake with Amitabh Bachchan and Singham 3 with Ajay Devgn.
