Salman Khan reveals why he’s backing Kichcha Sudeepa’s Vikrant Rona; says, ‘Nowadays South films are…’
Vikrant Rona’s pre-release event was held today, July 25th, at the prestigious 5-star Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra, Mumbai, in front of a huge press presence. Suffice it to say that the Vikrant Rona Pre-Release Event hit the right notes as not only did it get the media excited but how quickly the event went viral across all quartets on social media. Of course, a lot of this had to do with some of the blockbuster statements from both of them Salman Khanwho presents Vicrant Rona in Hindi and Kichcha Sudeepathe star of the film – much like the blockbuster collections of their films.

During the event, actress Neetha Ashok, who is also part of the cast of Vikrant Rona, told Salman Khan that she couldn’t believe he tweeted the film’s trailer, to which Salman shot back in inimitable Salman fashion: “Mam, I. I also present the film. I have to do this I don’t want to lose. The film will be released this Thursday (July 28). And you know, right, South movies do really well? Well, trust Salman to turn the most mundane banter into humor – Bhai never disappoints with his quirky wit, does he?

Inevitably, the conversation turned to the sad state of the Bollywood films currently at the box office, big and small. When Salman Khan was asked to comment on what seems to be ailing Bollywood at the moment, the superstar added: “We’re all trying to make the best film, we want it to reach everyone. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. There is no formula for something that works 100%.” Short and sweet, but to the point – the epitome of Salman.
