Ranbir Kapoor starrer is a complete washout; to register shockingly poor figures for first Monday
Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor’s Shamshera did poorly at the box office. Directed by Karan Malhotra, this historical action drama has failed to resonate with audiences. Shamshera has a production budget of Rs 150 crore and it looks unlikely that the film will reach even Rs 50 crore given the trends. It seems everything is in place to earn just over 3 million rupees on his first Monday. This is indeed disappointing. The only other Ranbir Kapoor films that have performed so poorly are Tamasha, Bombay Velvet and Jagga Jasoos. Even Besharam did better.
#Shamshera experienced a BLOODY FIRST MONDAY.
?The utilization of 15% could not be exceeded. Started the day with a minimal utilization of 6% and experienced 8% in the afternoon only to give up at 12% peak.

Also, Sanjay Dutt’s character isn’t very well written, as some claim. However, what has been criticized is the unnecessary love track by Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor. People thought it was pointless.
Yash Raj Films is now pinning its hopes on Pathaan. The promotions of the film have only just started. Deepika Padukone’s look was revealed today. She plays a deadly wild character in the film. Ranbir Kapoor can now also look forward to Brahmastra. Let’s hope things go well. The budget of the film is Rs 400 crores.
