On Karwa Chauth, Sonam Kapoor Posted These Stunning Pics From Dad Anil Kapoor’s House

Sonam Kapoor shared a set of stunning images from the Mumbai home of her parents, Anil and Sunita Kapoor, on Friday. Sonam revealed in his Instagram post that she does not observe the Karva Chauth fast, preferring instead to dress up and celebrate with the family. “My husband is not a fan of Karva Chauth as he thinks fasting should only be intermittent so he never kept it! But we both strongly believe that festivals and traditions are a great reason to get together with family and friends,” she wrote. Sonam Kapoor’s mother, Sunita Kapoor, organizes the Karva Chauth festival every year at home, which is attended by her friends. “I love that my mom loves to celebrate it and she loves being a part of it and dressing up. Sunita Kapoor, you always do a great job! Your energy and generosity are legendary and I hope to follow the same path! Happy KC everyone,” Sonam wrote.

Posting a video of herself getting ready for the festivities, she wrote: “It’s great to be back in the real world with my team, dressed up and meeting people… Love being back on my turf. All your scars and cracks are magic with Love You Mumbai”.

Meanwhile, Sunita Kapoor shared a photo of the Karva Chauth celebrations at her home attended by Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Bhavna Pandey and Natasha Dalal along with other friends and wrote, “I always believed that the festivals are about faith,belief and tradition.Karva Chauth is not only a day of fasting for the long life of her husband,it is also a day for women to come together to celebrate each other.So wherever you are,and whoever you be your faith and belief, I hope your day is full of love, warmth and celebrations”.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja got married in Mumbai in May 2018 after dating for a few years. He had a star-studded wedding and reception. Anand Ahuja runs the fashion brand Bhane and the Veganon Veg sneaker boutique. The couple welcomed a son in August this year and named him Vayu.
