This film was made under the banner of Hombale Films, under which all the films made have turned out to be blockbusters. Meanwhile, Hombel Films founder and producer Vijay Kiragandur spoke in an interview about the success of KGF along with superstar Yash. During an interview given to Bollywood Hungama, Vijay Kiragandur said about the 2018 movie KGF Chapter 1 that we wanted to make a movie that could be liked globally. With this idea we started the project. After making the film, we show it to some people to know if we can take it to all over India or not.
Continuing his point, Vijay said that we specially showed it to HH Rajamouli because he had started the Pan India films. After watching the film, he said that it is a great project and its content is also different and it will work across India. We then teamed up with Anil Thadani’s AA Films and Excel Entertainment and dubbed it into other languages.
He said that the second part of KGF worked all over the world. Both parts of KGF made Yash a superstar. Praising Vijay, she said that Yash is a perfect star for a pan-Indian movie. Now she can’t make small movies, now she has to defeat his big goals.
He said that KGF 2 is the highest grossing movie. Now our second movie is Salaar with Prabhas. He said that Salaar’s teaser will be released soon, however, its date is not set yet.
He also talked about the flops of Bollywood movies. He said: We also have to understand the mindset of the audience. Now nothing can be shown to the audience. If they come to the theaters with tickets, then our content should also be great to get them into the seat. We can’t take them for granted and expect them to hit theaters for just any movie.
He said: We have to keep the audience in mind and make movies for the big screen. If the movie is such that it can be enjoyed at home as well, then it would be better to release it directly on OTT.
