Based on Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’, the film tells the story of the titular character of Alia, inspired by the real-life sex worker Gangubai, who becomes a mafia queen in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, RRR was released in theaters on March 25, breaking into the coveted Rs 1 billion club within 16 days of its world premiere. It is the third highest grossing Indian film of all time. Rajamouli found it satisfying and unexpected that the film starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR became the most watched Indian film on Netflix, with a total viewing time of over 47 million hours with subtitles in 15 other languages.
The film received praise from around the world for its commendable performances, brilliant cinematic scale, action, and drama. It saw Ram Charan and Jr NTR garner praise and praise from audiences and critics alike. The film is also being praised by several Hollywood filmmakers, including the Russo brothers.
