“If I Hurt Anyone, I Regret It”

Preparations for the release of Aamir Khan Lal Singh Chaddha, a highly anticipated film since it was announced. However, recently, the film has made it onto the trending list as trolls have called for a “boycott” of the film. Aamir Khan reacted to the controversy at a press conference on Tuesday. The ANI news agency quoted him as saying: “If I’ve hurt anyone in any way, I’m sorry. I don’t want to hurt anyone. If someone doesn’t want to see the film, I respect their opinion.” Lal Singh ChaddhaDirected by Advait Chandan, the official remake of the 1994 Hollywood movie Forrest GumpAamir played the title role and Kareena Kapoor, his love interest.

Previously, director Advait Chandan hit back at haters for claiming that trolls were “paid” to pay more attention to the film. His hilarious response, in an Instagram Story, read: “I have been told that people are getting paid to troll Aamir sir. Very sad to hear this and completely unfair. Why am I trolling you for free?” . And he added the hashtag #PayEveryTroll.

Not long ago, calls for a boycott began when netizens found a 2015 interview of Aamir Khan in which he said his then-wife, Kiran Rao, had suggested he move out of the country due to “growing intolerance” in India.

Lal Singh ChaddhaIt will premiere on August 11. It also stars Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya and has been in the works for over 15 years. The film is co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Aamir Khan’s Viacom18 Studios.
