Irrfan Khan, who passed away in 2020, was one of Bollywood’s most beloved actors. His death shook the entire nation. Two years after his passing, his son Babil Khan is ready to start his acting journey. His debut film Kaala is set to release on December 1 on OTT platform. Ahead of the launch, her mother Sutapa Sikdar took to social media and dropped a priceless memento of her and Irrfan.

Sutapa Sikdar goes down memory lane

Sutapa, who is often seen sharing priceless memories of the late actor, posted a childhood photo of Babil on her Instagram Story. Irrfan was also in the photo. According to her caption, she was clicked during Chhote Babil’s first visit to the Irrfan film sets. In the picture, Irrfan is seen holding Babil on his lap while he is busy looking at something. Along with the image, an emotional Sutapa wrote: “Babas ka first day of release for his movie #qala #elderson #pressofparenting #gratitude.” have a look:

Recently, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Babil opened up about the difficult times she went through after her father’s death. He said: “It was hard to accept myself and accept my shortcomings. And understand who you were when Baba was there. The security that Baba had given me suddenly disappeared. He was very scared, very scared. “So it was extremely difficult.”

Kaala also stars Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee in pivotal roles. It is directed by Anvita Dutt and produced by Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Filmz.
