Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness Made an extraordinary start in India. As per our initial estimates, the film has netted in the range of Rs. 28 to 30 crores on opening day. The film was always poised to become an excellent opener in India and had gained momentum in advance bookings just a month back. Markets in the South have performed exceptionally well, as has traditionally been the case with all Marvel movies. Even in the North, the film excelled across the board, although higher ticket rates have resulted in higher business as well.

In terms of viewership for the opening day, the film is much lower than most of the Hindi films that have collected Rs. 20 crores in the pre-pandemic times. Doctor Strange The film is an event and hence, high ticket prices are not reducing the chances, however, low footfall is actually an indication of a section of the audience being behind, as strictly in terms of occupancy, the footfall is quite low.
