Chitrangada Singh who produced surma Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Panu’s leading man now has the rights to another inspiring story of Subedar Yogendra Yadav’s incredible bravery in his first production based on the true story of former Indian hockey team captain Sandeep Singh.
Chitrangada Singh Acquires Film Rights to Indian Army’s Youngest Param Vir Chakra Receiver Yogendra Yadav
For singles, Subedar Yogendra Yadav fought in the Kargil War and is the youngest to receive the Param Vir Chakra at the age of 19. He is one of only three living Param Vir Chakra recipients in the country. He history and has continued to serve in the Indian Army ever since.
Securing the rights to develop a film based on Yadav, Chitrangada adds, “I am very excited to tell the stories of real heroes who are often forgotten, yet still live among us. We need to glorify your journey. This would be another attempt to do what I tried. surma,
The film rights belong to CSFilms, co-owned by Deepak Singh.
