Adipurush Vs Mega 154 Box Office Clash
Multilingual period saga Adipurush starring Prabhas will hit theaters in 3D on January 12, 2023. Interestingly, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s untitled film, tentatively named Mega 154, will also be released for Sankranthi 2023.
As we all know, Sankranthi is a big celebration in the south. The Sankranthi festival in the south is celebrated like Diwali in Bollywood. Both films colliding at the same time will impact their box office collections, but it remains to be seen who will benefit from the festival holidays.
Prabhas’ last film, Radhe Shyam, was a box office disaster and also drew negative reviews from critics and audiences alike. The pan-India star, who rose to the big leagues with Baahubali, is clearly in need of a big hit.
On the other hand, Chiranjeevis Acharya bombed the box office and is yet to recover from the loss. Directed by Siva Koratala, the film had Ram Charan in an extended cameo.
Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is an adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana. The film has Prabhas as Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. Adipurush, starring Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh, is Raut’s next project following his 2020 National Award-winning blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
Speaking of Mega 154, the film is directed by Bobby and the music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Shruti Haasan will play the female lead in the lead role of Chiranjeevi.
