Bollywood’s first superstar, Rajesh Khanna, who starred in 17 blockbuster movies, married an actress half his age.

MUMBAI. The first superstar of Indian cinema, who will be remembered for centuries, turns 80 today (29 December). Rajesh’s popularity can be gauged by the fact that, even today, the entire country is in love with him. Shakti Samanta’s Aradhana (1969) ushered in the stardom of Rajesh Khanna, who went on to deliver 17 consecutive blockbuster films. Rajesh was born on December 29, 1942 in Amritsar, Punjab. Very few people would know that Rajesh’s real name was Jatin Khanna.
