On the economic front, Bollywood is also looking forward to remaking movies next year!

There is a saying that the rope burned but the force did not. That is, despite repeated losses, there is no understanding. This proverb is being implemented in Bollywood right now. Because Bollywood, which has suffered huge financial losses this year, is still reliant on remake movies. A large number of remake movies will be released next year. These include films by Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Karthik Aryan, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Ajay Devgan Khan.

Whereas the performance of this year’s remake movies has been very poor. Only Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Drishyam 2’ (Hindi remake of Malayalam film of the same name) has done well. Apart from this, most of the Bollywood remake movies have failed at the box office. These include films by Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor.

There was a time when people looked at South Cinema and Hollywood remake movies with great interest. The era of remakes had started since the 1970s itself. In this, actor Jitendra has acted in a large number of remake movies. In ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, he once recounted that he used to spend 28 days of the month in Madras or Hyderabad. The main reason for this was that he mainly worked on the new versions of South. Even after the ’90s, the era of remake movies has continued.

But after the expansion of the Internet and OTT, the reach of South Cinema and Hollywood movies became direct to the common people. People watch original movies even before the remakes are made. Because of this, remake movies are now failing. Despite this, Bollywood fails to understand that people want new content, on the basis of which films from the South are earning a lot.

Bollywood’s big stars will be seen in these new versions in 2023.

1. Ajay Devgan’s ‘Bhola’ which is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Kaithi’

This year, Ajay Devgan, who seems excited after the movie ‘Drishyam 2’ became a huge hit even under adverse circumstances, completed the shoot for his upcoming movie ‘Bhola’. The movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 30, 2023. Its teaser and first look poster have been released. In this, the actor is seen with a cool look. The action thriller film ‘Bhola’ is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Kaithi’ which was released in the year 2019. The Tamil film, made on a budget of Rs 25 crore, was a blockbuster by raising 110 crores. The budget of ‘Bhola’ is said to be around 100 crores. Its producer and director is Ajay Devgan himself. This is the fourth film made under his direction.

2. Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Shehzada’ which is a remake of the Telugu film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’

The film ‘Shehzada’ is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’. In this Tamil film, famous actor ‘Pushpa’ Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde and Tabu have lead roles. The film is produced by Arjun’s father, Allu Aravind, who is also a co-producer of the Hindi remake. Made on a budget of Rs 100 crore, the Tamil film did a business of Rs 280 crore. This is the reason why the Hindi filmmakers of this film have high hopes. The most important thing is the presence of actor Karthik Aryan in it. Following the blockbuster movie ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, its stars are on the rise. Looking at its fans, it is speculated that the Hindi remake will do better at the box office as well.

3. Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘The Intern’, a remake of the Hollywood film of the same name

The film ‘The Intern’, produced under the banner of actress Deepika Padukone’s producer, is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood film of the same name, which sparked controversy due to the song ‘Besharam Rang’ from the film ‘Pathan’. . This comedy drama film directed by Nancy Meyers was released in the year 2015. It made a worldwide business of 200 million dollars. In its Hindi remake, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are in the lead roles. Both will be seen together in a movie for the second time. I’ve worked on ‘Piku’ before this. The Kannada remake of the film ‘The Intern’ was made in the year 2018 under the name ‘Hottegagi Genu Battegagi’. Now it will be interesting to see how the Hindi remake fares at the box office.

4. Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Bloody Daddy’, a remake of the French film ‘Sleepless Nights’

Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Jersey’ was released this year which is a Hindi remake of the Telugu film released in the year 2019. Made at a cost of Rs 60 crore, the film grossed only Rs 20 crore. The movie turned out to be a disaster. Despite this, Shahid Kapoor will be seen again in a new version next year. ‘Bloody Daddy’ movie will be released in 2023 which is a Hindi remake of French movie ‘Sleepless Nights’. The story of this action drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar is based on drugs. The film makers probably want to capitalize on the fame of ‘Udta Punjab’. But considering the environment that prevails in the country today, there are doubts about the success of such a film.

5. Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Blind’, a remake of the Korean film of the same name

Actress Sonam Kapoor, who became a mother on August 20 this year, will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of the Korean film ‘Blind’. The film is produced by Sujoy Ghosh who has done thrillers like ‘Kahaani’ and ‘Badla’. The responsibility of directing the film has fallen to Shome Makhija. Sonam is going to act in a movie for the first time. She will appear in the role of a police officer, who loses his sight while searching for a criminal. But finally she dies only after arresting that criminal. This action movie will be nothing short of a challenge for Sonam, who won the National Award for her performance in the movie ‘Neerja’.
