Film director and producer Shiv Kumar Khurana passed away on October 25 at the Brahmakumari Global Hospital due to age-related issues. He was 83 years old. He leaves behind his wife, two children and his family.

Shiv Kumar had directed many movies in Bollywood. These include land and gold, First Love Letter, Badnaam, Badkar. Movies like Badnaseeb, Beabaru, Begunah, Jalsaaz, Sone Ki Zanjeer, Intakaam Ki Aag are included. Apart from this, he has also produced movies like Dagabaaz, Hum Tum Aur Woh, Ang Se Anga Lagne. His films did a good business at the box office. He was considered a very good director.

Shiv Kumar Khurana was the first film director to cast Vinod Khanna as a hero. Before Hum Tum Aur Woh, Vinod Khanna used to play the role of villain in movies, but Shivkumar Khurana recognized Vinod Khanna’s talent and took him as a hero in movies. The name of this film was Mere Apne, in which Vinod Khanna played a positive role. This movie was released before Hum Tum Aur Woh.

Vindu Dara Singh was also released by Shivkumar Khurana. They both worked together on the movie Karan. Shiv Kumar Khurana is said to be a very humble and soft-spoken person.

According to media reports, a Shiv Kumar Khurana tribute gathering will be organized at Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha in Mumbai on October 28. Talking about the movies directed by Shiv Kumar, he has done ‘Mitti Aur Sona’, ‘First Love Letter’, ‘Badnaam’, ‘Jalsaaj’, ‘Beabaru’, ‘Sone Ki Zanjeer’, ‘Badnaseeb’, ‘Begunah’ and ‘ Intakaam’, showed his strength as a director in films like ‘Aag’. Not only as a director but also as a producer, he has worked and produced such films as ‘Dagabaaz’, ‘Hum Tum Aur Woh’, ‘Ang Se Ang Laye’.
