According to the annual action plan for the financial year 2021-22, Govardhan Yojana is to be implemented in the district. In which a model biogas plant pilot project will be established. In this, a community biogas plant will be set up using advanced technology, which will be helpful in the disposal of organic waste. This model will be based on the concept of Waste to Wealth and Clean Energy. By forming a cluster from this plant, the organic waste like dung, etc., emitted from stray / orphan animals and cowsheds coming to this area will be collected and executed. The generated viogas can be converted into compressed viogas and sold directly to consumers and oil companies in the form of fuel. In addition, slurry can be converted into bio-fertilizers. One gram panchayat of the district is to be selected to be prepared as a model biogas plant pilot project. For this, along with the constitution of the committee, the agency has to be selected. The District Magistrate directed the District Panchayat Raj Officer to constitute a committee for the establishment of the said plant and select the appropriate agency, so that the work of setting up the plant can be started.
