Fatehpur. District hospital will now get 24 hours electricity. The supply started on Sunday from the independent feeder of the hospital closed for three years. Hospitalized patients have been relieved from the troubles caused by power cuts. 15 years ago, to make the hospital free from power cuts, an independent feeder was approved. Slowly the work continued. Later the hospital got an independent feeder but the supply did not start. In the year 2012, after the new government came to the state, the supply of independent feeders was started with the efforts of the then MP. The district hospital got supplies for seven years but in December 2017, the feeder stopped working due to a cable burning under the railway track. The Health Department started the supply by connecting the hospital line to the feeder of the urban area. Then since then no officer took care of the feeder. About a month ago, the officials started the work of correcting the feeder. On Sunday, the engineers of the Electricity Department fixed the independent feeder and started the power supply in the district hospital without any cut. The patients who are admitted now will get a big relief. District Hospital’s CMS Dr. Prabhakar said that the district hospital has started getting power supply from independent feeders. Fatehpur will be involved in criminal incidents. Criminal incidents will come down in the district hospital. Incidents of mobile and purse robbery of admitted patients and attendants keep happening on a daily basis due to power cuts during the night. Incidents will be less if there is power supply. Hospital expenses will be reduced in Fatehpur. Now the financial burden of the hospital will be less. The generator had to be run in the hospital during the day at the time of power cut, because X-rays and other tests were not done without the generator running. Now eight liters of diesel per hour will be saved due to no generator running. Fatehpur got the benefit of joining the medical college. The district hospital has got this benefit of being under the medical college. Due to the connection with the district hospital, education and medicine, now the arrangements here have become under the central government. On the intervention of the Principal of the Medical College, the Electricity Department has hurriedly started the power supply for the hospital from the independent feeder.
