Bigg Boss 16: Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia reveals she was given medication for her mental health issues for a year, but stopped on her own
Archana Gautam has recently returned home in Bigg Boss 16. He was warmly welcomed by his gang Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary, Soundarya Sharma, Ankit Gupta and Gautam Vig. Later in the episode, Nimrit walks into the confession room and talks to Bigg Boss about feeling lonely and sad for a long time.
The Choti Sarrdaarni actress opened up about her anxiety and depression, sharing, “Yeah Bigg Boss I haven’t been well for 3-4 days, I’m a little claustrophobic in a way that you know I don’t know if you have or not. Understood about my nature, but I’m not the person to keep things to myself. I mean at night I can’t sleep because my mind is very disorganized and I can feel my brain feeling a bit tired. And it’s not that I’m not strong , Bigg Boss, do I expect this conversation to happen between us?”
Bigg Boss reassures her and replies, “Obviously, this whole conversation is between you and me,” then Nimrit says, “Okay, can I just cry a little bit and go?”
Nimrit bursts into tears. Bigg Boss asks, “Are you happy with the way you represent yourself in the house/show?”, and Nimrit replies, “I’ve always tried to be genuine and will continue to be.”
Bigg Boss further advises you to find someone in the house with whom you feel comfortable sharing your feelings. Nimrit said, “Abdu and Sajid ji, but especially Abdu, never judged me.”
After leaving the confessional, Nimrit spoke with Shiv Thackeray and MC Stan about his depression. He told Shiva: “I have many things filled inside and asked to discuss it with others. I don’t know if you know this, but I had depression and anxiety for a year and it’s not like I’ve fully recovered. I have been taking medication for a year or two, and 4-5 months before coming here. I stopped taking my medication on my own. Then it becomes difficult. For the last 3 or 4 days my mind is suffering and when I sleep it is full of thoughts.”
Shiv and MC Stan asked him to come and talk to them whenever he felt the need.
