European politicians nominates Ukraine’s Zelensky for Nobel Prize: Report

This year’s Nobel Prize will be announced between October 3-10.

Several current and former European politicians addressed the Norwegian Nobel Committee with a request to nominate Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022, and for this reason extended the nomination process to 31 March.

“We therefore humbly call upon you, the Committee, to consider: to extend the nomination process for the Nobel Peace Prize until March 31, 2022, to allow Nobel Peace Prize nominations for President Zelensky and the people of Ukraine, and reopening,” said the statement issued on March 11.

The politicians also called on the committee to “reopen and reconsider the 2022 nomination process for the Nobel Peace Prize,” according to the statement.

This year’s Nobel Prize will be announced between October 3-10.
