Towards his final game, the legendary fast pitcher said:“I have played two World Cup finals but I couldn’t win the trophy. This is my only regret as you prepare for the World Cup in four years. It takes a lot of hard work. Winning the World Cup is a moment for every cricketer like a dream come true.,

Furthermore, Jhulan expressed happiness for his career and said that he never thought he would play for so long.

The 39-year-old bowler described receiving India’s debut cap as the best moment of her career. She also revealed how the 1997 Women’s World Cup final played at Eden Gardens made it her ambition to become a professional cricketer.

Jhulan also said,“My best memory is when I got the India cap and threw the first over because I never imagined (I would play for India). The journey was difficult as I had to travel two and a half hours by local train every day to train. In 1997, I was a ball boy in the Garden of Eden, where I saw my first Women’s World Cup final. From that day on and so on, my dream was to represent India.”

Jhulan, who made his debut for India in 2002, has played 12 Tests, 203 ODIs and 68 T20Is in his career. Tomorrow will be his last ODI match for him and the Indian women’s team would like to bid farewell to Jhulan Goswami with a victory.
