Ek Villain Returns box office prediction day 1
According to our industry sources, Ek Villain had prebooked ₹1.50 crore net as of Wednesday 27th July, which is better than many in the trade were expecting. In fact, the lead of John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria pursues a far better opening than expected, mainly due to the good will that the first part, also directed by Mohit Suri, still holds the audience. The music also seems to have worked on a superficial level. Of course, it’s theaters outside of the best subway multiplexes that have been pumping the big hits so far.

Ek Villain Returns film review
BollywoodLife gave the film 1 star out of 5 and wrote in its review: “In a country where women are subjected to acid attacks simply for rejecting a man; Ek Villain Returns makes things problematic on a whole different level. Even legendary filmmakers had missteps, and it would have been perfectly fine if Mohit Suri had just made a hilariously bad film instead of making a poisonously bad one. Besides, when the best actor in your cast is Disha Patani, you know you’re in trouble.”
It’s surprising that the director of criminally underrated films like Zeher, Kalyug, Aashiqui 2 and Malang delivered this.
