Lalitpur. In the colonies formed to provide Pucca homes to needy families in urban areas, homes were not allocated to all eligible families. Some influential people took advantage of this unjustifiably and set up camp illegally. There are some grant recipients who have given their homes for rent.
The BSP government had started giving Pucca houses to needy families in urban areas. During this time, the Kanshi Ram residential colony was established. Among them, a colony was established in the district near Govind Nagar, Narayanpura, Khirkapura, Surighat, Raghuveer Singh Government College behind the ITI. Even after this government was ousted, the process of colony formation did not stop. Asra colony was built under the BJP government. Housing was made available to families in need in these colonies. Due to problems such as swallowing tanks and drinking water in the residential colonies of Kanshi Ram, many assignees rented their houses to someone else while some lived in other locations by locking them up. The domineering type took advantage of this and seized such houses. For this reason, many eligible people could not find accommodation in the colony, even if they wanted to. Many people also applied for housing to various officials, but most of the applications could not be considered. This kept the allocation process on hold. There are currently around 44 empty houses in the Asra colony. At the same time, many houses in the residential colonies of Kanshi Ram are empty.
The campaign was carried out before the second corona wave
Before the second corona wave, the municipal council had taken the marking action to remove the illegal residents, but after two colonies the action could not continue. Because of this, the attempt to remove the illegal inmates became a toy failure.
Measures are being taken to remove illegal inmates. All illegal residents in the colonies should vacate the house immediately. Otherwise, strict measures will be taken against them.
