Chitrakoot. The special campaign to fight communicable diseases was launched on Thursday by MP RK Singh Patel and DM Shubhrant Kumar Shukla at the headquarters’ urban primary health center. Particular attention was paid to cleanliness in rural areas on rainy days. Asha staff will be running door-to-door awareness campaigns to control encephalitis.
MP RK Singh Patel said that during the rainy season all diseases spread to the villages. To prevent the diseases, the government has launched the Communicable Disease Control Campaign. Appealed to the village chiefs to promote cleanliness through public awareness events. The DM said any fever could be meningitis. Meningitis becomes fatal. It can also bring physical and mental disabilities.
CMO Dr. Vinod Kumar Yadav announced that the special campaign to fight communicable diseases will run until July 31st. In doing so, various departments, especially ASHA staff knocking door to door, will do the job of preventing and detecting meningitis effectively. MP and DM rewarded ANM and ASHA staff for their significant contribution to vaccination and also provided medication.
On this occasion, the additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. Imtiaz, the District Immunization Officer Dr. Mukesh Pahadia, the additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. RK Chauriha as well as officers and employees of the relevant departments present.
