Arjun Kapoor on Ranveer Singh’s nude photoshoot row: Knowing him, it is not even crazy
Arjun Kapoor is one of the biggest names in Bollywood today. Arjun debuted in 2012 with the hit “Ishaqzaade” produced by Yash Raj Films and has successfully carved a niche for himself with his hard work and dedication. In his roughly decade-long career, the 2-state actor has had several hits and misses, but he has always given his all for the films he has been in and has always supported Ranveer and his decisions. Once again, Arjun Kapoor proved why he is the “yaaro ka yaar” by once again making a statement in support of his dear friend Ranveer.
Ranveer became the talk of the town after recently baring it all for a photoshoot. The actor’s pictures went viral, and while there were many nice things to say about them, the actor also received a lot of trolling and backlash for doing so. In fact, an FIR was also registered against him for “insulting women’s feelings” with “obscene photos.” Speaking recently about the nude photo shoot, Arjun Kapoor defended Ranveer, saying, “I think we should just acknowledge what he did. We should all be happy and proud of what he did and it has nothing to do with me so take away from the boy what he did. He’s proud of his body and he can show it with a full score. Knowing Ranveer, it’s not even that crazy what he’s doing,” in an interview with India Today.
Aside from Arjun, Alia Bhatt defended Ranveer, saying that Ranveer was her “darling” and that she couldn’t bear to listen to anything negative said about him. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma said in an interview with ETimes: “If women can show their bodies, why can’t men?”
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor is now gearing up for the release of Ek Villain Returns. Directed by Mohit Suri, the action-romantic thriller will also star John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria and is set for release on July 29 this year. He is also working on some other exciting films like Ajay Bahl’s The Lady Killer and Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kuttey, both of which are expected to be released in the last quarter of 2022.
