Sagar Parekh, who currently plays the role of Samar in Anupama, celebrated his birthday yesterday on the sets. Speaking about his experience of replacing Paras Kalnawat, he said: “I have been a part of the program since its inception and I never replaced anyone. So when I was offered the role of Samar, it was a huge task. After I started filming for the show, I remember how I would have sleepless nights. I wanted to make sure I did my best as the show has connected with the audience and I didn’t want the audience to be disappointed seeing me play the character of Samar. I am glad that the public has accepted and liked my interpretation of Samar. I remember how I used to watch earlier episodes of Anupama to understand Samar’s character and why she was so sweet to everyone in the family. I remember telling Mrs. Rupali (Ganguly) that when I started shooting I wouldn’t let anyone down and she showed tremendous confidence and support in my work. The whole team has been a great support”.
