Anganwadi’s Responsibility To Protect Children From Malnutrition


Chitrakoot. Under the National Nutrition Month at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ganiwan, the program of nutrition garden and tree plantation was done. In which Pahari, Anganwadi of Ramnagar block, assistants, farmers were present. District Panchayat President Ashok Jatav, the chief guest of the program said that no child should be malnourished. It is the responsibility of Anganwadis.
CDO Amit Aseri, the special guest in the program, said that such programs will prove to be helpful for the conservation and promotion of nutritious grains. Said that the year 2023 will be celebrated as the International Year of Nutritious Cereals. Farmers can get old seeds if required from the seed bank of the centre. Deputy Agriculture Director Dr. Rajesh Kumar said that malnutrition can be overcome only with nutritious food grains available at the village level. Organization secretary of Deendayal Research Institute, Abhay Mahajan said that work is already being done on conservation of traditional crops, indigenous breed animals. Dr. Chandramani Tripathi, senior scientist and head of the center gave detailed information about the work being done on nutrition. Home scientist Mamta Tripathi said that women belonging to scheduled castes and tribes have prepared nutrition gardens and home gardens in 250 families.
During this, District Functional Officer Manoj Kumar, Pahari Block Chief Sushil Dwivedi, Women and Child Development Project Officer Mahendra Kumar, Shivam Tiwari etc. were present.
