Lalitpur. Naveen Galla Mandi’s platforms are being emptied for the storage of wheat from the district’s shopping centers. After the warehouse is full, wheat must now be stored on these platforms. Traders used to hold their goods on these platforms.
After sourcing wheat stopped, officials have now focused on storage. After the warehouse is full, food grains are stored on the platforms of Galla Mandi. In the past, the Galla Mandi traders were busy with their goods, they were evacuated. During procurement from April 1st to June 22nd, 90,146 tons of wheat were purchased, while the warehouse capacity in the district is only 75,000 tons. 15000 MT in Amarpur Mandi Godown, 9000 MT in Amarpur Mandi Platform, 30000 MT in Budhwar Godown, 5000 MT in Kakarua Godown, 10000 MT in the warehouse of Naveen Galla Mandi, 6000 MT in Naveen Galla Mandi Platform. In this way, 15,000 tons of wheat have become extra. Because of this, a large amount of wheat is kept in society’s godowns. Department officials are working to ensure safe storage before the rains that caused the Galla Mandi platforms to be cleared.
The safe storage of 90 percent of the wheat procured has been completed. The work on storing the remaining wheat continues. This work will be completed before the rain.
