The admission process for doctoral studies at Allahabad University (IVV) and constituent colleges can begin in June. The result of the Joint Research Entrance Examination (CRET) -2020 was released by IVI administration two and a half months ago, but the selected candidates have not yet received approval. The university and constituent colleges will open from June 1st, after which the admissions process will be accelerated.CREATE-2020 was organized on January 17th this year for the admission of doctoral students to universities and technical colleges. A total of 6092 candidates were registered for the examination, of which 3836 candidates had registered. Admissions are to be taken for 625 doctoral positions in IVI and constituent colleges. Of these, 203 seats come from various university courses and the rest of the seats from constituent colleges. The result of the entrance examination was announced by the IVI administration on March 10th, but due to the dispute with the reservation list, the admission procedure could not be started immediately. Later, the IVI administration decided to implement the reservation list, taking into account the divisions of IVI as units, to resolve this dispute.

The dispute was settled, but the approval process remained bogged down. Because of the rapid spread of the covid infection, all offices of the university and the constituent universities were closed. In such a situation, the level 1 result of the box could not be sent to the departments. The university and the constituent colleges will open from June 1, so the admission process for doctoral students will also continue. Crate Coordinator Prof. IR Siddiqui says the Crate Level 1 result will be sent to the faculties as soon as the university office opens. The departments then complete the admission process by conducting an interview below level 2 of their level.

Demand for early completion of the research approval process

The students, who spent 312 days at Allahabad University under the banner of Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti to call for the re-establishment of the Student Union, have called for the admission process of selected candidates in Crate to be completed soon. If the admissions process doesn’t start soon, students will get upset. On this occasion the student leaders Ajay Yadav Samrat, Rahul Patel, Navneet Yadav, Arvind Yadav, Mohammad Zaid etc. were present.
