The game had its fair share of twists and turns as GT looked for the best part.

Sunrisers Hyderabad win second in a row and they’ve got their mojo back! Gujarat Titans suffered its first defeat IPL 2022 Because Kane Williamson’s men were too good for him. The game had its fair share of twists and turns as GT looked for the best part. However, Williamson’s composition at the top meant that SRH registered an eight-wicket win and added two more points to their tally.
Earlier in the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bowl at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. GT got some bonus runs early as the veteran pacer conceded 11 runs in the first over and 17 runs through wide. However, the tables turned soon after in-form opener Shubman Gill was dismissed for just seven runs.
Matthew Wade and Sai Sudarshan also could not contribute much and scored 19 and 11 runs respectively. Captain Hardik Pandya and Abhinav Manohar then did the repair work as the duo put on 51 runs for the fifth wicket. While Hardik took a backseat and opened the innings with a half-century, Manohar was on the offensive as he played some delightful shots across the park. As a result, GT posted 162/7 in their allotted 20 overs.
Kane Williamson’s flamboyant half-century sent GT on the backfoot
In reply, SRH made a steady start with openers Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson adding 64 runs for the opening wicket. While the former was dismissed for 42, the captain continued and scored his first half-century of the season. A slight twist in the story came when Hardik Pandya His counterpart was dismissed in the 17th over.
However, Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram played sensible cricket, ensuring that there was no play in the end overs. The Orange Army eventually crossed the line in 19.1 overs to win the competition by eight wickets. Despite this win, SRH remained in eighth place, while GT slipped to fifth place.
In the meantime, let’s see how Twitter reacted to SRH’s massive win:

Reminder- Miller has now moved from 54th to 58th with 59 batsmen. Still waiting for that impressive knock. Might be worth trying Dominic Drax for that post. Can also help with their bowling attack. https://t.co/jkK079PsbU
