The first rain in the district turned some streets into potholes within six months, a few years, some two, three and four years. The situation raises questions about the quality of road construction and road maintenance.
In addition to the Public Works Office, Rural Engineering Services, Zilla Panchayat, local authorities, Mandi Parishad and many other small labor organizations are active in road construction. The responsibility for the construction of most of the roads lies with the PWD.
According to the 2020-21 budget year data, by March 2021, about one billion rupees 80 million had been spent on road safety, including construction, repair, special repair and rehabilitation of roads. According to the junction agency PWD, this includes the expenditure of all offices for the road.
