Aligarh: More than 21 lakh seedlings planted in the district with the help of 23 departments

As part of the 30 crore Jan Andolan tree plantation program, more than 21 lakh seedlings were planted on Sunday with the help of 23 departments of the district. From dawn to dusk, different departments planted seedlings from place to place. The officials also educated people about the importance of plants.
Tree planting was organized throughout the district under Vriksha Mahakumbh. To mark the occasion, 642,200 seedlings were planted by the Ministry of the Environment, Forests and Climate Change. On the other hand, 920,570 seedlings were planted by the Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, and 166,382 seedlings were planted by the Ministry of Agriculture. It was overseen by Nodal Officer Rajnish Gupta. He took stock of the hourly tree planting status.
The knot officer started the mass movement for the plantation in Sadabad, Kajraut. On that occasion, he said that precautions should be taken to protect the plantation areas. Sadar MLA Peepal, Chairman of the Purchasing Committee Satendra Singh Banyan, BJP Sasni Mandal President Bell, representative of the village chief planted Ashok and Amla seedlings. The regional forest officer SR Ojha greeted all visitors with a garland.
