Kothibhar (Maharajganj). The youth, who went to defecate on the Gorakhpur-Narkatiyaganj main railway line through Gram Sabha Sabyan South Tola, died Tuesday morning after being hit by a freight train. According to eyewitnesses, the youngster ran after defecation with headphones in the middle of the railway line. He was hit because he couldn’t hear the sound of the train.
35-year-old Jitendra Kumar, a resident of Gram Sabha Sabyan Dakshin Tola, went to a stool on Tuesday morning near Gate 28C between Siswa Bazar and Gurli Ramgarhwa. At around 8:30 a.m., the driver of the BCN freight train going from Narkatiaganj to Gorakhpur started to honk the young man walking in the middle of the route, but the youngster did not move and died on the spot after falling off the freight train . Gateman Mumtaz Khan informed the superintendent of Siswa Station, Raj Narayan Pandey, of the accident. The Kothibhar Police Station was informed by RPF friend Amit Kumar Madheshiya, who was stationed at Siswa Railway Station. Sub-inspector Tarakeswar Verma said the body had been sent for an autopsy.
