Approach culvert sunk in the rain, accident averted
Kapoorwar. Access to the culvert collapsed due to heavy rainfall at the Madanpur-Barhaj Police Station border near the Binwapuri village in the region. Fortunately there was no accident. The transport of heavy vehicles on the Kaparwar-Rudrapur road was banned due to damage to the culvert. The villagers asked for the culvert to be repaired.
On Wednesday, on the Kaparwar-Rudrapur road, the approach of the culvert at the drain at the border of the police station was washed away and the road collapsed. In response to the notification, the Kaparwar administration barricaded Tiraha by setting up barrels etc. to prevent heavy vehicles from entering. Traffic with vehicles other than trucks will continue on the route. SDM Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said the PWD had been informed of the beckoning approach of the culvert. It is being fixed and traffic will be back to normal soon.
