The country’s first AC economy class coaches will be installed on trains in the Prayagraj zone of the North Central Railway (NCR). These cars are used on trains that have more waiting lists. Because these coaches will have 83 beds instead of 72. The railway safety officer also carried out the testing of these wagons, which were prepared in the Kapurthala wagon factory. Ten such trainers will be accepted by the NCR administration. Seven of them are available this week. By using these bogies on key NCR trains, waiting list passengers receive confirmed berths. In fact, only the Link Hoffman Bush (LHB) technology bogies are in the country in VIP trains such as Prayagraj Express, Rajdhani Express, etc. While AK III has 72 berths, in the third AK there are only 64 berths of the blue-colored ICF- Dare. With this in mind, the Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) developed the 83-seat bogie from LHB.

After that, the Kapurthala rail car factory had prepared its prototype in just three months. These coaches were also tested at a top speed of 180 km / h. The Railway Safety Commissioner has also tested its standards. After his OK, the Kapurthala Coach Factory in Punjab started manufacturing. Around 250 such trainers are to be prepared in the first phase. 15 of them are finished. Of those 15, seven coaches were sent to NCR.
