It is said that hundreds of years ago an ancient saint named Bhanwarnath came here and grazed his cow here. In his time a shivling was founded here. Here on one side his cow was grazing and on the other side Baba sat and meditated on Shiva. The name of this place later became Bhanwarnath after the name of Baba who tended the cow. Regarding the construction of the temple, it is said that the foundation stone of the temple was laid on October 4, 1951, which after seven years was completed on December 13, 1958. Now almost all facilities are available to the faithful here. Overall, Baba’s fame is not limited to the city, but people from all over the district keep coming to ask Baba’s blessings.
