A kilo of silver stolen from Saraf’s shop
Kamalganj. Thieves stole about a kilogram of silver from a bullion shop in the area’s village on Tuesday evening. After receiving the information, the police reached out and investigated.
Anoop Kumar, a resident of Gadakheda Village, Jahanganj Police Station, runs a gold bullion shop in Nasratpur Village Market.
Anoop closed the store like every day and went home on Tuesday evening. Sometime during the night, thieves broke into the back of the shop by removing the shutter from the corner. The thieves broke open Golak’s drawer, broke 10 pairs and crossed half a kilo of old silver. When the villagers saw the shutter break at around 6 a.m., they informed Anoop.
After reaching the store, Anoop reported the incident to the police. Light inspector Bhabhuti Prasad reached the place and investigated. Anoop said the thieves opened the drawer after burning the wood. It shows that the thieves came with the welder.
The thieves had also tried to open the safe kept nearby. About a kilo of silver was stolen. Anoop filed a complaint with the police. The inspector said an attempted theft was discovered during the investigation. Nothing was stolen.
