Firozabad. The poll for the post of 94-gram panchayat members of the district was peacefully completed on Saturday in 44 cabins of four blocks. However, there was no particular enthusiasm for the vote among the villagers. In order to win the member’s post, Gram Panchayat members appeared in the struggle to find each and every voter and reach the booth.
Elections could not be held because no nominations had been received for 3367 posts out of 7196 gram Panchayat members of the district. After nomination and withdrawal of nominations, the election of 3257 Gram Panchayat members in the district was unanimously. The poll began on Saturday in 44 booths for just 94 items. When the voting process began at 7 a.m., the process of voter arrival began. In the Firozabad block, SDM Sadar Rajesh Kumar Verma, Tehsildar Dr. Santraj Singh is active in the team. He inspected polls in Bazirpur, Jehalpur, Sujatgarh, Kurrikupa, Totalpur, Nagla Chura, Nagla Mawasi, Nagla Bhav Singh, Fatehpur Anandipur, Bilhna together with Nurpur. SDM Jasrana Kumar Chandra Jwalia and CO Kamlesh Kumar reached the voting booths in Block Ekas Nagla Gaju, Milawali, Garhi Sirsela, Patara, Nagla Vavan, Alampur, Sunav and Dharampur. In the Madanpur block, CO Sirsaganj remained active with the team together with SDM Navneet Goyal. The vote took place in the polling stations Khorai Ajnaura, Todsi, Khodai, Nagla Munshi, Nagla Duli, Nagla Paiz, Nagla Khangar, Madai, Lahrau, Naglatula. In the Shikohabad block, SDM Devendra Pal Singh, CO Devendra Kumar knocked on the stalls that were being built in villages like Indumai, Adhampur, Govindpur, Rajpur Balai, Nagla Mahua, Tatarpur, Nagla Ramchandra, Gadhidan Sahai, Kutukpur Bariyarmau and Mewli etc. After the voting was over, the ballot boxes were deposited under the direction of the BDO in the vaults set up in the respective blocks. The vote will now be counted on June 14th.
Mother-in-law face to face in Kurrikupa
Firozabad. Kiran Devi and her son’s daughter-in-law, Rekha Devi, faced each other at the Gram Panchayat member’s post at the Seventh Station in Kurrikupa, Panchayat Village of Sadar Block. Due to the nomination of both by one station, both tried to hit each other. The situation in Sujatgarh was more or less the same. This is where the nephew’s aunt, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law take part in elections.
