Sitapur. In order to provide the farmers with high quality seeds and insecticidal chemicals, the teams of the agriculture and Tehsil administration carried out an intensive investigation campaign on Saturday. Eight teams carried out surprising checks on 87 shops in different areas and checked the sales and warehouse documents.
After being found suspicious during the operation, six samples of semen and ten samples of insecticidal chemicals were sent for laboratory examination. During the investigation, the operators of one seed and five insecticide shops were also asked for a written reply if inconsistencies were found in the sales documents.
On the instructions of the DM, 46 private and cooperative seed companies were investigated by forming five teams with the affected Tehsildar in different Tehsils in the district. In addition to comparing the records according to stock levels, samples of seeds and insecticidal chemicals were also confiscated and sent to the laboratory for quality testing.
