722 Handicapped Children Will Get Work Seat For Studies

Under Integrated Education, an initiative has been taken by the department to connect the differently-abled children of class one to three of the council schools with the main stream of education. For this, Hindi language and mathematics will be taught to children through accessible work seats.
District Coordinator Integrated Education Shailja Mishra said that the responsibility of taking work seats to their schools and homes would be the responsibility of the department to arouse interest in Hindi and mathematics among the children. A total of 722 disabled children studying in 176 council schools across the district have been selected. In these 47 children of class 1, 248 of class 2 and 427 of class 3 have been included. He said that 29 special educators have been entrusted with the responsibility of supporting these children. These educators will awaken the interest of reading and learning in these differently abled children through special technology.
DC said that to make these children proficient in Hindi language and mathematics, there will be 10 sets of work seat in class 1, 8 sets in class 2 and 9 sets in class 3. Each set consists of 15 to 20 pages. Teaching will be imparted to these children through different types of shapes on each page. These include deaf, deaf, mentally disabled, learning disabilities and autistic children. One lakh 64 thousand 923 work seats have been received for providing education in primary schools with disabled children identified from the State Project Office, Lucknow. A set of work seats has been prepared for each child. After this, the sets of work seats will be sent to the block level. Sets of work seats will be provided to the children identified through special educators from the block level.
Work seat will be taken back from the children after the completion of the exercise work
