Jhansi The five-bed hospital under construction at Maharani Laxmibai Medical College will be ready in six months. During the review meeting, Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was visiting the district, learned of the reality of the preparations for the construction of the hospital. He asked directly what was causing the construction work. After taking note of CM directly, the construction work should now accelerate.
Construction of a 500 bed hospital began in 2014 on the Medical College campus and should be completed in 2017. The State Construction Corporation was given responsibility for the construction. More than Rs 80 crore was spent on its construction. The hospital has a state-of-the-art design with oxygen supply to all 500 beds. The outer structure of the hospital has been completely completed. The budget for the development of other resources could not be found, due to which the construction work could not be completed. For a long time there was great fighting over the building of the hospital. When the matter surfaced before the Prime Minister on Sunday, he asked directly where the matter was. The director of the Medical College, Dr. NS Sengar, who presented the presentation, told the CM that the hospital will need about 70 crore rupees. The Prime Minister has promised to take immediate action on this matter. In such a situation, officials from the medical schools also hope that the construction of the 500-bed hospital will be completed within five to six months.
