Six and a half lakh families of Jhansi-Lalitpur receive free ration

On Monday, the Prime Minister announced that it would provide cardholders with a free ration until November. Six and a half lakh families from Jhansi and Lalitpur will benefit. Cardholders are very relieved after the announcement.
The central government launched the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana during the lockdown last year. As part of which each cardholder received a free ration. Many ration cards were also produced during this period. The free ration was discontinued after the ban was lifted. After the second wave came in April, the lockdown was carried out again. During this time, the system started again with the distribution of the free ration. The ration is distributed in May and June. On Monday, during his address to the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that he would extend the Pradhan mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana until November. After that, the food card holders from Jhansi and Lalitpur were happy. There are 385340 food card holders in Jhansi. While there are 266,124 cardholders in Lalitpur. Under the scheme, three kg of wheat and two kg of rice per unit are distributed to these cardholders. In this regard, the officials from the Utilities Department have started preparations. Teerthraj Yadav District Supply Commissioner said that a free ration was given to Anna Yojana in May under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. The delivery runs for the month of June. According to instructions from the government, the distribution should take place by November.
