Due to the non-fulfillment of the quorum in half of the area’s Gram Panchayats, by-elections are to be held for the posts of the Gram Panchayat members for which the nomination process is pending. In which of 590 grams of Panchayat members the election of 539 grams of Panchayat members is to take place without a dissenting vote, while 33 items will be voted on June 12th. An oath was taken on the heads of 59-gram panchayats in the panchayat election. The oath could not be taken because the quorum of the remaining 58 grams of panchayats was not met. In such a situation, the state election commission issued a notification to hold elections for the vacant positions under which the nomination process is running. The nomination process was completed on Monday. For the posts of 590 grams Panchayat members, 665 nomination papers have been submitted, while 18 posts are still vacant.
At the same time, the nomination papers of RO Rajkumar Chandana, ARO Dinesh Kumar, Wilson and Arvind Kumar were examined on Monday. Out of 665 nomination papers, 23 nomination papers were canceled in the investigation. 38 candidates withdrew their nomination papers. In this way, 539 Gram Panchayat members will be safely elected while the by-elections for 33 Gram Panchayat parishes of Parota, Bhagwantpur, Meerapur, Bisauli, Daniyapur, Nankar and Rewari Kalan-Gram Panchayats take place. 66 candidates will compete in all of these stations. The election symbols lasted until late Monday evening.
