Sant Kabir Nagar. The prime minister’s mass marriage program was organized on Tuesday in the district in a wedding hall at the district headquarters. 219 couples got married. 199 couples are Hindus and 20 couples are Muslim.
The DM said the main goal of the program is to marry the boys and girls of these poor families who cannot afford the wedding expenses themselves. The officers present greeted all the Gharaatis, Baraatis and their relatives who came to the mass marriage program. After the marriage, DM Divya Mittal, CDO Atul Mishra, District Welfare Officer Satish Kumar, etc. blessed the newlyweds.
The CDO said a total of 219 couples in the district were married as part of the mass marriage program. In which 199 couples were married according to Hinduism. At the same time, 20 couples married according to the tradition of the Muslim religion. As a gift to all bridal couples, the bride received a mango seedling from the forestry office as well as 35,000 monies in the account of anklets, beeches, utensil sets, cell phones, handkerchiefs, briefcases, etc. to the bridal couple.
