Srinagar (Mahoba). A battle for water is raging in the city. People are concerned about the water being created drop by drop due to the drinking water system introduced twenty years ago. On behalf of the Gram Panchayat, the twenty thousand inhabitants of the city are supplied with drinking water from just one tanker, which turns out to be cumin in the camel’s mouth. People rush for water as soon as the tanker arrives. By filling in water by inserting plastic pipes, the tanker is emptied within a few minutes. Because of this, many people don’t get any water at all.
The project was launched in 2000 to provide the people of the city of Srinagar with drinking water. Until 2015, it was operated by Jal Nigam Civil Branch. In 2016, this scheme was transferred to the Gramm Panchayats by order of the government, but the drinking water supply came to a standstill due to lack of maintenance and repair. At the same time, most of the hand pumps were answered due to the steady drop in the water level due to the scorching heat. The villagers quench their thirst by fetching water from distant, isolated water sources. At the same time, a tanker from the Gram Panchayat, Srinagar, supplies the villages with drinking water. which is not enough.
The villagers Ramprakash, Devidin, Devki, Pappu, etc. say that the water is supplied by a tanker. Crowds gather as soon as the tanker arrives. This creates a controversial situation. At the same time, village chief Ashish Rajput says that the old pipeline has been repaired. This supplies three towns. The repair of the hand pumps is in progress. Small water tanks are being installed in the villages so that the water shortage can be overcome.
