On a faithful night in Ittarpur, a small town in Rajasthan, twins are born, a boy and a girl. Unfortunately, the child dies just after his birth and the family mourns the loss of him. Nobody wanted another girl because there were already three in the family.
During the girl’s naming ceremony, everyone takes it out on her and says that’s the reason her brother died. They keep the fancy name of it.
The girl grows up and starts going to school where everyone bullies her. Her father also lost his position as head of the family as he was unable to give the family a son.
Her father tries to please her and tells her that life is bigger than this. Although everyone in her family is against her, only her father continues to take care of her. She had promised her father that she would one day make her parents proud of her.
One day, while picking mangoes, he realizes that he has the potential to become a batsman. During Navratri, when some children play loud music and disturb Faltu’s family, she guides them and teaches them a lesson. But his family educates him for the same. She keeps telling him that he is not a boy and therefore he cannot do all the things that he can do as a boy.
His mother told him that she was sick and tired of him, that she was the cause of her son’s death. Once again, Faltoo’s father comes to his rescue and tells him that he shouldn’t have dropped out of school, as he would have given him a chance to become something in life. He says that he will, that he will make her proud one day.
On the other hand, Ayan, the owner of a sports shop in Mumbai, argues with some angry customers. Ayan angrily raises the bat to show some of his tricks to the cricketers, though he remembers that he promised his slime that he would never touch the bat in her life because he didn’t want her to be embarrassed. He proves the cricketers wrong and he plays very well.
Meanwhile, in Itarpur, Faltu’s cousin tries to persuade him to play for the Itarpur cricket team as one of the players is injured.
Ayan’s father, who is an established businessman, tells him that he has to go to Itarpur immediately because his branch is suffering and he wants his name to be published as the most successful businessman of the year. Ayan’s sister tries to persuade her father to accompany Ayan to Rajasthan. Ayan’s mother tries to tell her husband that she can send Ayaan after Navratri since her marriage date would be fixed during Navratri. But Ayan’s father refused.
In Ittarpur, Faltu’s father’s younger brother removed his name from the guest house he ran for years. He says that after him, this guest house will not be managed by his daughters, so he has decided to take it over. He is followed by at least his children to manage the guest house. He says that daughters are a burden to the family and he has three daughters who are getting married.
Ayan and her sisters arrive in Rajasthan and Ayan tells her that if they want to start a successful business there, they have to put themselves in the shoes of these villagers. What is the loss for the Ittarpur team because a player was not feeling well? Lattu steps forward and says that she will play in her place. The team needs 18 5-ball runs and she decides to play extravagantly because she wants the prize money to make her father proud.
