Viral attacks on children are increasing rapidly in the district. On Tuesday, this was confirmed in Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School, Manjhanpur. Here out of the health checkup of 65 children, 17 girl students were found ill. Three girl students who were seriously affected were referred to the Joint District Hospital.
The girls living in Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School, Manjhanpur, were ill for several days. On the information of Warden Mudita, the RBSK team of Primary Health Center Manjhanpur reached the school on Tuesday and organized a health camp. In the camp, the doctors conducted health check-up of all 65 girl students one by one.
During this, 17 girl students were found suffering from seasonal fever, cold, cold and cough. Along with referring three seriously ill patients to the Joint District Hospital, the team doctors gave medicines to the rest of the sick children. Also, it was advised to keep them in a separate room.
During the investigation, the doctors found many girl students suffering from gynecological diseases. They were also made aware about the prevention of diseases along with medicine and treatment. The team included Dr. Arun Kumar Kesarwani, Dr. Alima Khatoon, Roopa Devi, Chingu, Pharmacist Arjun etc.

A health check-up camp was also organized on Tuesday at Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls’ School located in Kasiya of development block Muratganj. The team of doctors conducted health check-up of all the 75 girl students living in the school. Ten of these girls were found suffering from eye and ear problems. Along with giving first aid to all, PHC Muratganj was referred. The team included Dr. Naseem, Dr. Neetu Singh and other paramedical staff.
