121 patients on the first day in OPD from CHC
Kayamganj. OPD services were added to the local CHC due to the suspension of the L-2 hospital. On the first day, 121 patients came to take medication. Of these, 42 samples were taken for corona testing. The cleaning work in the premises of the OPD continued throughout the day.
Due to the increasing pace of corona infections, the government closed CHC’s OPD services and built a 20-bed covid L-2 hospital in April. Beds have been placed in other rooms including doctor rooms and OPD rooms in this complex. The services of the L-2 hospital here have been suspended since Monday and the OPD has started.
During the day, the cleaners took out the beds and other items and moved them to another location. The cleaning work in the rooms continued.
Medical superintendent Dr. Shivprakash saw the patients arriving at the CHC. A total of 121 patients were treated. In addition, 42 patients were tested for corona. Lab technician Rajpal took the samples.
Ramashankar, the physiotherapist present at the counter, kept walking into the cash register. No patient came with eye problems. Medical superintendent Dr. Anurag Verma said the OPD service is now continuing on a daily basis. Patients who come here are not registered without a mask. Patients can also voluntarily submit samples for corona tests.
